My grade school reunion was this weekend. That was a lot of fun. My old bestie Jordan and I put it all together and, if I say so myself, we pulled off a nice little party. Granted, there were only 10 of us there, but we hung out around the fire pit and reminisced until 1 AM. Waay past my bedtime, y'all! But totally worth it. We all really enjoyed each other's company back in grade school and nothing has changed since then.
Us...
Here is the fire pit that made the party...
And the twinkly lights around the french doors..
We were a little afraid of having 'pyrotechnics' right near the rectory, but it all worked out. Thanks to everyone who made it. It was GREAT seeing you!
Aside from that, I got my hairs cut. 2.5 inches whacked off and addition of a swoopy bang. I feel lighter. :)
Here is also a random observation... Where are all the pregnant women in the world? I know you're out there because I know tons of you, but how come it seems so rare that I see any riding the bus or walking around anywhere? Are you all driving from place to place and running inside? :P It is so funny to me that when I had the boot cast on my foot, I saw (and have since seen) people with boot casts on everywhere. But now that I'm focused on the pregnant world, I never see any pregnant ladies. Just wonderin'.
Focused on the pregnant world? WHY? is there something you want to tell #2??
ReplyDeleteOK, so I guess I had to start at the beginning of the blog...good luck friend!
ReplyDeleteMay you never experience a long, frustrating road to trying to expand your family, but if you do, I swear you will see PG women everywhere and it will annoy the heck out of you! :) So your current take made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteAnd besides, you know that most baby making is in the winter when there is nothing else to do! LOL So you're too early...
Oh yeah, #2, read from the bottom up. Nothing to tell yet. Thanks for the luck. I'm sure that we'll need it. I want a Connor or a Jameson!
ReplyDeleteHaha. Beth. I now remember you saying that. I guess I just don't see too many pregnant women on the busway or among the Pitt students.
Your friends are right. I see pregnant women all the time! And not just pregnant women, but families with newborns and infants. Keeping my fingers crossed for luck for you two.
ReplyDeleteLynnette said.... There is this mom of one of Lila's friends at school. Over a year or two ago, I thought she was pregnant, then I realized no, I think she's just built that way. But now, I SWEAR she's pregnant, but wouldn't possibly dream of saying anything, because I know that's just how she's built. Is this just what she looks like when she gains weight? Or is she really preggo? No clue.
ReplyDeleteYeah, some people are just built like that. Or, like me, just look like that after lunch. :P
ReplyDeletethe preggers people will start showing up. they come out of the woodwork once you start thinking about it.
